The Centenary of Middlesbrough Central Library

    Celebrations were held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 to mark the centenary of Middlesbrough Central Library. The library was opened in 1912 by Alderman Amos Hinton. The 100th birthday celebration included songs, poems, a speech by Mayor Ray Mallon and more than 100 members of the public hugged the building.
