    Troops training - 'Newcastle Special'. Guys in uniform march up the street toward camera. The men head out into field; some stop and do something on the ground with tools. CU 2 men sit on ground; one talking into radio; the other writing in notebook -- getting message in code to be decoded later. Shot of a bunch of soldiers running toward a gate. Shot of soldiers on a hillside practising a rescue mission; getting a 'wounded' man onto a stretcher; and carrying it off. CU of soldier on hill; looking through binoculars; 2 others stand below. Then a silhouette of a soldier signalling with a flag; facing the sun. War games. In distance; masses of men running; flopping on their stomachs; running again. CU group of soldiers posing together while they eat lunch; drinking from canteens; etc. Pan along the group. One guy has a trombone. Then more of the same.
