    The letter reads Received Mar 21st 1792 the Reverend Cooper Abbs the sum of thrity five pounds being the third and fourth payment upon his subscription towards the expense of building the Wearmouth Bridge. The reciept is signed by Thomas Sanderson who was the town clerk
