    Item title reads: " The Pitmen's Derby. Tommy Weston on "Border Minstrel" gains popular victory." Gosforth Park M/S of riders on horses passing through the enclosure gate to go out onto the race course. Some competitors parade in a ring. The winner is pressed by crowds. A horse with no saddle is paraded in a small ring and crowds look on.
