Allchurch chases ball and fires in a hard shot which is blocked by Newcastle defenders. Both teams tussling for ball until Palmer manages to push ball out to Griffiths. but Griffiths centre is intercepted by Cowell and he sets Newcastle away. SV. Crowd. SCU. Newcastle forward runs ball right up to touchline before centring LV. Davis balloons ball high over bar with goal at mercy. SCU. Crowd. SV. Davis atones by providing centre from which Vic Keeble scores first goal. Pan players congratulate. SV. Crowd cheering. (Half time) LV. Newcastle attacking Swansea goal. Groves punches one clear Griffiths who is dropped back to help defence, runs for ball, beats two Newcastle players but R Cowell beats him and slams it back into Swansea goal area. but gets charged over for his efforts. SV. Groves saves and clears upfield SV. Crowd. LV. Swansea attack. SCU. Ball going behind for a corner. LV. Medwin taking corner Newcastle defence stand firm until Mulgrew relieves pressure with a pass up to the wing to set Newcastle away again. LV. Newcastle 2nd Goal. Davis scores Pan to players congratulating. SV. Crowd. LV. Swansea attacking. MV. R Simpson just manages to keep out the ball by falling on it and scrambling it round post. SV. Crowd. LV. Newcastle's last goal. R Mitchell running with ball. He shoots LV. Ball entering net, pan to players congratulating.
