    Full title reads: "Town Honours Its Own VC". South Shields, Tyne and Wear. VS of the civic reception on the steps of South Shields Town Hall for Second Lieutenant Richard "Dickie" Annand, Victoria Cross. The soldier won his VC in Belgium. Large crowds listen to speech by Mayor outside Town Hall.
