    Full title reads: "Catterick. Tommy tries it out! Men of the 1st Batt. Durham Light Infantry - first regiment to parade in new uniform." Catterick, North Yorkshire. Ranks of soldiers of the 1st Battalion Durham Light Infantry wearing a new design in military battlefield uniform. Of particular note is the new design of cap they are wearing. Tilt up a soldier wearing the new uniform. Group of soldiers run about in field - they are giving the new kit a test. Shot of one soldier - he removes his 'deer stalker' hat and folds it up. He then replaces it. He fastens the neck of his shirt. Soldiers demonstrate various different designs of the new trouser. The voiceover suggests that "this is how, with slight modifications, Tommy Atkins will look in the future."
