The Army Football Cup Final. MS Durham Light Infantry in white shorts. MS Crowd. LS Royal Army Pay Corps. in black shorts. MS of Rt. Hon. Anthony Head (Secretary of State for War) shaking hands with the Durhams. MS Hon Anthony Head now with the Pay Corps. team. LS Crowd. LS of the kick-off. The Pay Corps have the ball, but the 2nd battalion take over. LS Playing - the Pay Corps. LS Play. A player in the Pay Corps. kicks ball. Two players from both sides collide together in efforts to get ball. LS Play. LS Play. The Pay Corps have ball. A player is running with the ball, he kicks as other players run after it. Thompson the goalkeeper for the Durham Light Infantry picks up ball and throws it up field. LS Play. The ball is passed to outside right McCulloch of the Pay Corps. and he makes the most by kicking ball down field, towards the Light Infantry goal at end of shot he kicks ball. LS Play round goal post, the ball goes wide and ends up behind goal. LS Crowd. MS Goalie Thompson of the Infantry kicking the ball. LS Play. (Half Time). Score Durham 1 - RAPC. 0. CU Crowd. LS Second half. Player No 11 outside left Pte. Hindmarch is tackling player of the RAPC for ball. Hindmarch manages to kick ball, it is then run after by Pte. Boydd of the Light Infantry. Another player tries to stop him getting ball. CU Crowd. (2 shots). LS Play. Richards of the RAPC now has ball, but is being chased after by Biddulph of the Durhams he passes ball to another player. LS Play. The ball is kicked down towards the Durham goal posts, but goalkeeper Thompson runs out and picks up ball. He then picks up ball and with a hefty kick he kicks it very high and ball lands down field. LS Crowd watching. MS Bell of the Durhams gets ball from player of the RAPC, who goes sprawling, while Bell carries on. He gives a beautiful kick, but just misses the goal, and goes out of goal. The ball is thrown back to goalkeeper Latham. MS Milbank of the RAPC now has ball and he kicks it over field to player Dewar of the RAPC, who kicks it up towards the Infantry's goal. MS Play round goal post, this looks very dangerous for the Infantry. A player heads ball towards goal, but goalie Thompson is there in time to catch ball. LS Crowd clapping. MS Captain Allison of the Infantry going up to receive the cup from the Rt. Hon. Anthony Head. CU Cup. CS Durham team with the cup. (Orig.Neg.)
