    Description : The photograph shows Akenside Hill the road which connects the Side to All Saint's Church. It was orriginally known as All Hallow Bank because of its proximity to the church. Then later it was known as Butcher Bank as this was where many of the master butcher's lived. It was renamed Akenside Hill in honour of the physician and poet Mark Akenside who was born there in 1721.
