    Type : Lantern Slide Description : A view of Market Street Newcastle upon Tyne taken in 1912. The photograph is looking north towards Grainger Street. A tram is travelling up the street and there are other vehicles on the road. Market Street is lined with commercial buildings and is crossed by Grey Street in the centre of the photograph. One of the domes of the Central Exchange Buildings on the corner of Grey Street and Market Street can be seen in the centre to the right. Buildings on Grainger Street can be seen in the distance.
