The photograph is taken from the middle of the Haymarket looking across to the Grand Hotel. There are shops on the ground floor of the hotel on the corner of Haymarket and Barras Bridge is 'Frederick Sanderson Furnishing Dealer'. Beyond Sanderson's is a bank with other shops beyond.
