    Type : Photograph Medium : Print-black-and-white Description : A view of St. Anne's Church City Road Newcastle upon Tyne taken in 1968. The photograph shows the altar which is at the east end of the church. The altar is standing in front of a classical reredos (sculpture wall decoration behind the altar). The lower wall on either side of the altar is panelled with two large round-headed windows.St. Anne's Church was designed by William Newton and built in 1746-8.
