    Type : Lantern Slide Description : A 1901 photograph of the Black Gate and Castle Keep taken from the General Post Office on St Nicholas Street. In the foreground to the left are buildings on the Side. The Black Gate is beyond then the railway bridge and the Castle Keep. Beall Sculptor has his yard between the Black Gate and the railway bridge. A train is crossing the bridge. In the foreground centre is a row of hansom cabs.
