Type : Lantern Slide Description : A view of Bessie Surtees House Sandhill Newcastle upon Tyne taken in 1929. The photograph shows part of the interior of a room on one of the upper floors. There are three large windows in the front wall of the room divided into small panes of glass. There are carved wooden pilasters between each window and wood panelling on the wall below the windows and on the other walls.Bessie Surtees House is a 20th century amagamation of Surtees House and Milbank House (41-44 Sandhill).
