The photograph shows the common yard and rear walls of 135 Wellington Street (left) and 1246 Seaham Street (right). The yard is long and narrow with the w.c. in the foreground. In the centre to the right steps lead down to the basement and up to the ground floor of the building. The yard is surrounded by high walls which block out the light. The lower half of the walls have been whitewashed.
