The middle house is the business premises of J. Arthur a cooper. The building was known as 'Arthur's Cooperage'. The stairs to the right of 'Arthur's Cooperage' are the Long Stairs. Collection : Local Studies Source of Information : J. Arthur's premises were known as the Cooperage a name which is retained today. In 1973 the building was converted into a pub and restaurant.
