Type : Photograph Medium : Print-black-and-white Description : A 1969 view of Grey Street taken from Grainger Street Newcastle upon Tyne taken in 1969. Grainger Street is in the foreground. In the centre is a road juction accesssible only by buses. To the left of the junction is the base of Grey's Monument. In the background there are two adjoining buildings. 'Broadloom Mills' is on the ground floor of the building to the right and 'The Eldon' pub and 'Turner's' photographic shop are on the ground floor of Eldon Buildings. Buildings on Blackett Street can be seen to the left of Eldon Buildings.
