    Type : Lantern Slide Description : A photograph of a group of uniformed men who are probably member of Newcastle City Police Force? taken c.1918. The policemen are wearing flat-topped cap which were still in use in Newcastle at this date. The man seated in the centre who is wearing the plain tunic is an Inspector. Many of the men are wearing the St. John's Ambulance First Aid badge on the upper part of their left arm.
