The photograph shows a regiment marching from St John's Church down Grainger Street then into Neville Street. The Commanding Officer and the regimental band are in the foreground. Crowds have lined the streets to watch the parade. The County Hotel is in the centre to the left and the Douglas Hotel is to the right. Buildings on Grainger Street can be seen in the background to the left. There are also two B class trams and a 'Blue Bus' in the background.
