The photograph has been taken from a tall building on Pilgrim Street looking down at the junction of Northumberland Street Pilgrim Street New Bridge Street and Blackett Street and looking up Northumberland Street. In the foreground to the left is Northern Goldsmiths corner of Pilgrim Street and Blackett Street and to the right the Watson Building corner of Pilgrim Street and New Bridge Street. Pearl Assurance House is in the centre to the right on the corner of Northumberland Street and New Bridge Street. It is night time and the streets are decorated with Christmas lights.
