Mawson Swan and Morgan's Department Store is to the right of the Newcastle Picture House and the Eldon Grill to the left. In the background are buildings on Blackett Street. In the foreground there are people two cars and a horse-drawn vehicle. Theatres Collection : Local Studies Source of Information : The date of the photograph is probably earlier than 1928 as the theatre is still called the Newcastle Picture House. It became the Grey Street Picture House in 1922.
