A small house is in the foreground to the right. Adjoining it at an angle is another house which is on the corner of Long Stairs and Queen's Street. The upper half of the house has been built onto the lower half at an angle and it is overhanging in places. A woman is standing in the middle of Long Stairs looking across to Queen's Street. Part of a church can be seen in the background to the left.
