In the foreground to the left is the canopy of the Station Hotel then the portico of the Central Station. The Douglas Hotel is in the foreground to the right on the corner of Neville Street and Grainger Street. The County Hotel is on the opposite corner to the Douglas Hotel. St Mary's Cathedral is in the background. Horse-drawn vehicles and trams are travelling along Neville Street.
