    Type : Reprographic copy Description : A copy of an engraving of Charles Newby Wawn by William Collard.This engraving was done by Collard from a miniature painting belonging to John Fenwick Solicitor. Charles Newby Wawn born around 1782 was a surgeon-dentist and a religious man. He had been President of the Newcastle upon Tyne Religious Tract and Benevolent Societies and of the Newcastle upon Tyne Sunday School Union. He retired to Tynemouth in the late 1830s but only enjoyed his retirement there for a couple of years.
