The Toll House, Castle Square

  • Description

This is the single storey stone building on the corner here. It faces onto the former Great North Road and is located just before the bridge over the river Wansbeck into the town centre, which explains its location. The building itself is early 19th century and is now a pub. Photo by Robert Graham, 10 July, 2023, Geograph, CC-BY-SA 2.0
