Scottish Provident House, Mosley Street

    Offices built in 1906 by S.D. Robbins for the Scottish Provident Institution. Said to have been the first 'gridiron' construction and use of Portland Stone in Newcastle. In 2010 this was Flares Bar. Tyne and Wear HER (8801): Newcastle, Mosley Street, No. 31 (Scottish Provident House). The road to the left is Cloth Market which leads up to the Bigg Market.
