Partridge Nest Farmhouse - Bardon Mill - List Entry

    House, late C18 altered and extended C19 with re-used material probably from Willimontswick. Rubble with stone dressings; slate roof, stepped stone ridge and gable stacks. 2 storeys, 3 and 1 bays. 3-bay section has central 6-panelled door under 4-centred arch in square moulded frame with sunk spandrels and hoodmould. Scratched '1832' date on right jamb....Rear elevation has outshut and boarded door, with 3-pane fanlight, in tall C16 chamfered surround. Interior has re-used good quality C16 moulded beams, 1st floor cast iron fireplace of c.1840....
