Windermere Jetty - steam launch Mosquito

  • Description

"The beautiful vessel was built in 1987-1989 by Martyn Blackburn and is modelled on the fast steam launch Otto. It is 46' long with a riveted steel hull and the engine is a compound steamed from a Yarrow type three drum water tube boiler. She can reach 17 mph and is on loan from a private owner. The steam launch Shamrock is seen behind. " Photo by Chris Allen, 2023.
