Ford near Rattenraw
-
Description
"The name Rattenraw may have meant 'rat-infested dwelling(s)' perhaps referring to the former row of 'miserable dwellings' [[5696642]] or even the much earlier Romano-British farmstead located along the burnside nearby. The name is not uncommon in England and maybe 'Rotten Row' has the same derivation." Photo by Andrew Curtis, 2018. -
