Ledge drop in the River Nent

  • Description

"The little bridge at Gossipgate is an excellent place to inspect this small drop in the River Nent. Whilst our walk was primarily for geological interest, we can't resist prospecting possible kayak trips. It has to be admitted, though, that walking is always more pleasant when the weather is nice, whilst paddling this river does need prolonged (and probably still falling) rain. There is also a much harder fall lurking downstream..." Photo by Andy Waddington, 2014.
