Carlbeck Community Centre, Lunedale

  • Description

"Carlbeck Community Centre was formerly a school built in the 1850s and enlarged in 1885. It closed in 1958 due to the falling number of pupils and was for a time an outdoor education centre. http://www.thevillagehalls.co.uk/lunedale-village-hall.asp Its notable feature from the road is its circular-framed wind-turbine, a Swift Wind Turbine made by the Renewable Devices Group from Edinburgh."
