Low Haygarth

Cumbria

  • Description

From the car park/lay-by beside the Cross Keys temperence inn, the first half-kilometre of the path to Cautley Spout follows the main River Rawthey, and passes this point where the walled farm track from Low Haygarth fords the river; this seems to be the only vehicle access to the valley of Cautley Holme Beck. I can't really tell from this angle, but I suspect the two horses are either members of the local semi-wild Lunesdale Fell Pony herds or their offspring.
