...A small Latin cross mounted onto a tapered shaft with a plinth and two-stepped base. Around the base the dedications are written in incised lettering. Inscription 6 o'clock face: IN/GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/ (Names)/ THIS MEMORIAL WAS ERECTED BY THE PARISHIONERS OF CROSSCRAKE/ GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS/THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS 9 o'clock face: 1939-1945.... -
