    Chronicle Live, 6 FEB 2024. "Plans have been lodged for a new special school on the site of the listed former Benton Conservative Club. Acorn Care and Education Ltd, a specialist education provider, has submitted plans to North Tyneside Council to convert Grade II-listed Benton House, on Hoylake Avenue, into a new special school. The proposed school would accommodate up to 60 children with specialist educational needs or disabilities, along with 30 full-time staff members....."
