SHOTLEY HALL STABLE BLOCK AND ATTACHED WALL TO SOUTH-WEST - List Entry

    Stables, probably 1863 by Thomas Wilson. Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings; Welsh slate roofs with some leadwork. L-plan. 2-storey range facing entrance: 2 sections, each 3 narrow bays. Left part has 2 carriage doors with 4-centred arches. Above left, loading door; centre large corbelled-out bargeboarded gable over round pitching eye with 3 slits below. To right 2 small windows with shouldered lintels....
