    ....Aberdeen Granite Cross of St. Cuthbert type on tall slightly tapering shaft standing on a square freestone base. The "IHS" symbol is carved above the word "Honoured". The dedication is on the front of the shaft, with the lettering carved to stand proud. The quotation is on the front of the square base. Lettering is a mixture of Old English and elongated Roman capitals....
