Description
East Hedleyhope Methodist Chapel was located at the western extremities of the village, first appearing as a small structure at the end of a row of colliery housing on the second edition Ordnance Survey map of 1894-99 (1). The structure is labelled as the Methodist chapel right through to seventh Epoch OS map data of the 1970's (2), after which it becomes associated with the Deerness Sport Club.
