Arroyo Arms - former pub sign (July 2018)

  • Description

"One of the last pubs built by the State Management Scheme, the Arroyo Arms in Harraby (see: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5305235 ) had an unusual sign which included the figure of a drummer boy from 34th Infantry Regiment (later the Border Regiment). This was taken down some years ago and believed lost - but all the time it was in the Museum of Military Life in Carlisle Castle." Photo by The Carlisle Kid, 2018.
