  • Description

Carlisle Hotel landlord Ernie Chase (centre) was not a happy man. His extravagant lifestyle, habit of betting on the horses and a complex series of dodgy business dealings had left him in a deep financial hole. The team that won the cup in 1901 was Rovers FC if you're into football.
