"'The Seven Stars' or 'Stars' is an early C19th public house and Listed Building http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?uid=238816&resourceID=5 It was built as a coaching inn on the route from Newcastle to Edinburgh and had its own brewery behind which closed in 1906.
