Sculpture, Coates Green, Ponteland

  • Description

"'The Teaching' by Hexham artist, David Edwick, was commissioned by the Parish Council in 2001. The sculpture is located on Coates Green in front of St Mary's Church, former location of Coates School [[2081958]]. It represents the connection in the village with the teaching of local children. It is made in a very hard limestone, cut using special diamond-tipped tools." Photo by Andrew Curtis, 2010.
