Road on Beldon Side

  • Description

"The roughly stoned road crosses moorland on a slope known as Beldon Side which is above the valley of the Beldon Burn. The low, upright stone is a milestone inscribed 'R 1 M' which tells that Riddlehamhope is one mile ahead. Riddlehamhope has been until recently a deteriorating ruined house but has now been demolished." Photo by Trevor Littlewood, 2018.
