    "Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of HEXHAMSHIRE (TYNEDALE District), Harwood Shield, Riddlehamhope track, bridge over Devil's Water, East side of track, South side of bridge. Riddlehamhope stone, erected by an unknown authority in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- R 1 M Grade II listed.
