"The Milestone is located on grass verge on the East of the road. Parish of Stannington (Castle Morpeth District). Metal post with attached metal plate, Morpeth/Newcastle iron post design, erected by the Cow-causey & Buckton-Burn turnpike trust in the 19th Century.
