Old Milepost near Blagdon North Lodge


This old Milepost is on the grass verge by the Old A1 road near Blagdon North Lodge, about 1 mile south of Stannington, shows the distances in miles to Newcastle and Morpeth, respectively. The metal post was erected by the Cow-causey & Buckton-Burn turnpike trust in the 19th Century. The milepost is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
