    "...Latin Cross erected on stepped pedestal. The cross is carved with a rifle slung across the front and a wreath at the crossing. The dedication is on a stone immediately below the cross, on a plaque carved to look like a scroll. The names are in a single column on the main pedestal, those from 1914-18 on the front and one name from 1939-45 on the left hand side. The names are in sans serif capitals...."
