Footbridge at Kelleth

  • Description

"Over the River Lune. The main span of this bridge appears to have been constructed from concrete T-shaped sections (about 300 mm / 1 foot long), cemented together, and presumably with a hidden beam or re-inforcement. This suggests that the main span might have been constructed on site. Nowadays, a one-piece pre-cast beam would probably be used." Photo by Ian Taylor, 2010.
