Old Toll House

  • Description

    Originally built as a toll house in c.1870, situated by the Swing Bridge in Newcstle. After tolls were no longer charged, the building was used as a mortuary and Coroner’s Court. It had many other uses over the years, including use as the Bridge Medical Centre and as aRecovery Centre (drug addiction). The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
