    Photo taken by Owen Wicksteed (1904-1999). Owen Wicksteed was a dental surgeon who moved to Darlington in the early 1930s, and practised in the town for over 40 years. He was a very keen amateur photographer and his photographs, dating from the 1940s to the 1970s, capture some wonderful moments in the history of Darlington.
