READING ROOM, ADJOINING WEST END OF IVY HOUSE - Nenthead - List Entry

    "Reading room built by London Lead Company in 1855 and enlarged in 1859. Coursed, squared rubble with curved south-west corner. Graduated stone flag roof has stone coping and corniced chimney to west end. Single storey. Plank door under outshut porch on north side; south and west sides each have 2 sashes with glazing bars in stone surrounds. Panel above windows on west side inscribed LEAD COMPANY'S WORKMEN'S READING ROOM...."
